Important // When Sysco Is Out Of Stock Of Something You Need

If Sysco is ever out of stock on an item you need, please still add it to your order. There are 2 very important reasons to do this.


  1. If there is a Foxtail-approved backup: This will trigger a backup option to be subbed if that item has a Foxtail-approved backup. About 30% of items in Sysco have an approved backup. You will know this by looking at the weekly OOS and At Risk post in the partner portal. In the case below with TopoChico, Pellegrino is the approved option that will be subbed ONLY if you click 'Add To Cart.'

  2. If there IS NOT a Foxtail-approved backup: Even if the item shows as out of stock, adding the item signals to Sysco that there is a demand. Without that signal, their system assumes we don’t need it, and restocking gets delayed. If TopoChico didn't have a backup option, most people don't do this step.


Please make sure everyone placing orders at your location follows this best practice. It drastically helps improve availability over time. In this example, you can see that TopoChico is out of stock at Sysco Central Florida. If you need this item, click 'Add To Cart,' whether there is a backup or not.

02/12/26 - Monin Ordering Clarity / 1 Case vs 1 Bottle

Ed Don’s Monin listings can be confusing. Some items are sold by the bottle, others by the case. They cannot change this format due to other customers.

If you see “each”, it means 1 bottle (1 unit).


To confirm how it’s sold, check:

  1. Pricing – Compare the price.

  2. Under pricing – Look for “per each” or “per case.”

  3. Item description – Note the difference between:

  4. 4/CS = 4 bottles per case (sold as a case)

  5. 4 EA/CS = 1 bottle (each), 4 bottles per case total

Year-round Monin flavors sold by the bottle at Ed Don are:

Agave, Caramel, Sugar-Free Caramel, Coconut, Hazelnut, Cane Sugar, Vanilla, Sugar-Free Vanilla
