Supply Chain Recap: 10/6 - 10/12

// PINNED // Update Regarding The Transition From Supplies On The Fly To Ed Don

Ed Don, Supplies on the Fly, and Foxtail are in the last few weeks of ironing out all the details for this transition. This is an exciting move that will streamline our supply chain at all levels. Since Supplies on the Fly's business model is drop shipping, and Ed Don's business model is direct deliveries to your store, you will have to slightly adjust your ordering habits.

You will start to see messaging about the transition on Supplies on the Fly as early as next week, preparing you for the transition.

Ordering & Delivery Schedule

• Each Foxtail location will have one order day per week and one delivery day per week. (Deliveries will arrive 1–2 days after your order day, depending on your location.)

• Brand-critical items like Foxtail’s proprietary cups, bags, and matcha will now arrive on your truck.

• You’ll also receive Monin syrups and many other items you previously ordered through Supplies on the Fly.

Accounts & Invoicing

• You’ll have a separate Ed Don account to review and pay invoices.

• Think of Ed Don as a secondary Sysco, giving you another delivery day each week.

Holiday Hot Cups

• You’ll start ordering holiday cups through Supplies on the Fly in about a week or so using the current drop-ship/UPS model.

• Once the Ed Don transition is complete, these items will be ordered through Ed Don and arrive on your truck.

Timeline

• Tentative go-live date: November 3rd

• Two live training sessions will be held the last week of October. You’ll be able to sign up for one and recordings of those sessions will be available afterward.

• You’ll receive your Ed Don login after completing your training session.

• Supplies on the Fly will remain active for about 7–10 days after Ed Don goes live.

10/06/25 - Final Updates For New Iced Lemon Cake & Banana Nut Bread!

We are excited to announce that Foxtail has finalized a partnership with Sweet Sams to replace our lemon iced cake and banana nut bread! These are not individually wrapped, but instead come as pre-sliced loaves. Despite being a step up in quality, Sweet Sam’s is offering these items to Foxtail at the same price point we’ve previously been paying. To meet Foxtail’s high demand, Sweet Sam’s has been ramping up production for the last 2 weeks and is almost ready to support our volume moving forward.

Inventory will begin rolling out to all Sysco distribution centers in the coming weeks, but arrival times will vary by location. Please keep coming back to supply chain updates to find the latest arrival information. You can see the current status of all distribution centers below. *NOTE: If your order guide says MARKET or has the wrong price, it will be corrected on the first invoice.

10/06/25 - Ghirardelli Cocoa Powder Moved To Sysco

As part of our upcoming transition from Supplies on the Fly (SOTF) to Ed Don, Ghirardelli cocoa powder is now available directly through Sysco Shop.

This change will:

• Streamline your ordering process for this critical brand item

• Save you money — with pricing up to $10 lower than SOTF

Pricing may vary slightly depending on your market, but once fully transitioned, the Sysco price will standardize at approximately $139, compared to $150 through SOTF. Stocking status will also vary. You can also continue to order through SOTF while it is still available. See below for SUPCs and stocking status.

10/09/25 - Continue Ordering Sugar Waffle (ATL, JAX, VEGAS, ORL)

We fell a little short on our forecasts so need to order through the remaining inventory. Please continue to order the sugar waffle until your Sysco is completely out of stock.

10/10/25 - GELATO LOCATIONS ONLY - Pumpkin Gelato Status

The Jack-o-Lantern Pumpkin Gelato sold out of their forecasted amount in only a couple of weeks. Some of you may have been notified that it has been discontinued, which is incorrect. The supplier is getting with their production team to get me some dates on when they will produce another batch. They do understand that this is an urgent situation and making this a priority.

As soon as we have more information, we will update you here. We are working on all avenues to get this to your store as quick as possible.
